ONE PHOTO A DAY (5)

October reminded me of last year when we went to New York. I loved the trip, I loved the busy city full of colors, of people, billboards, places to eat and hang out. I remember the first night we arrived, I thought the city was so stylish, charming and extremely interesting. I guess I loved it so much already. Strange enough, I also felt a constant pressure walking down the streets. People seemed to be very much involved in themselves whether they were getting off work or school, hanging out at street corners or just walking by in a hurry. Apparently the level of intensity was rather high; in addition, high tendency to chase after trends together with fast pace of life certainly speed up the existence here, while we already seemed to be waiting for something to happen...

New York October 2010 - even traffic signals were a little different, in a confusing way ♣

One year later...back to the present with quieter life on the West side, and another holidays season is approaching again ♫♪

2011.10.27 - Looking down from my office window. It is Thursday, when plants and grass around the building get their weekly trim. Sometimes it could be interesting just to watch,...sometimes. It looked like the gardener was having a bad day that day as the lawn became partially shaved

2011.10.27 - behind the camera

2011.10.31 - My sister and husband were out for trick or treating

2011.11.03 studio night Thursday (look at those giant flares-not intentional, taken by iphone ☻

2011.11.03 as usual - behind the lens

2011.11.04 - the day gets darker and rainier each day, not necessarily a bad thing for me since I do enjoy overcast and even rainy days. It was 7 in the morning, clouds were rolling in and sun was no where to be found

2011.11.05 - left random drawings on paper placemat in the restaurant

2011.11.05 - random drawings, again

2011.11.05 - and again

Halloween 2011, after my first pumpkin went moldy, I had a 2nd pumpkin drawn on by people in the office.

ONE PHOTO A DAY (4)

Summer 2011 has gone and I had only a few captures to remember it by; I'm trying to collect some memories of it, though some were better off forgotten. I started to fall behind. As I missed one rhythm, it became harder to keep up with the next one; I realized how significant, but difficult, it was to sustain balance of life...Well, I can always believe that in the morning we shall begin to see the light again

2011.06.03 -  beautiful morning on my road to work, I believe you can always find something good and pretty if you purposely look for them, same idea for things that aren't so pretty....so why not look for pretty things?

2011.06.07 Russian bakery before its transitioning to...a nicer looking place

2011.06.07 pile of cherry apple pastries

2011.06.12 and of course, pile of produce

2011.06.15 an early morning at work; it was about one month into the new department. Shadow of the metal shelf and flower pot on my cubical wall.

2011.06.24 - my 66 year old co-worker gave me back lunch money after I paid for her lunch, it was exactly 8 dollar 40 cent; and I said I didn't need it that accurate to the penny, or dollar bills and coins spreading out in such style =D

2011.06.26 a sneak peak to someone's house across the street

2011.07.02

2011.07.04

2011.07.17 - my little sister and my little niece, 2 girls I've seen since they were babies till grown up. Love them! May they always be pretty, happy and wise...

2011.09.03 - driving to LA at sunrise. It seems to always be pretty in the begining

2011.09.08 - partial set up scene for White on White group shot....and it became:

2011.09.08

2011.09.10 Chinatown - the day of Mid Autumn Festival. It's probably such a usual scene in this part of town for this kid upstairs to bother coming out to the streets

2011.09.22 - partial set up scene for a group shot, result was:

2011.09.22

2011.10.02 - lemon pound cake from the oven

2011.10.08 Navy ships coming in the Bay for Fleet week

2011.10.21 - His name was Ralphy Raul Pumpkin III; he spent 2 weeks on my cubicle wall looking out to the office, serving his festivity purpose. Today he got really moldy that I had to throw him out, feel a little sad to see my little friend go :( Though he didn't make it to the festival, his smiley face will not be easily forgotten
